Newly-elected president of Directors Guild of Nigeria (DGN), Fred Amata was allegedly robbed at gun point at about 2.30 am on Saturday, June 25, 2016.
He was said to have been confronted by a group of armed men in front of his house gate and his car, a Metallic Grey Lexus 470 SUV with license plates AGL 414 CU was taken from him along with his phones and personal belongings.
Reports in the news have it that the suspects allegedly bundled him into his car and dropped him off at Fadeyi Bridge at about 2.30am after stripping him of his shoes
All efforts to reach Fred’s family by media personnel have so far proved abortive.
