A couple of months ago, the respected and well decorated artiste with undeniable list of hit songs, platinum records and music awards, R.Kelly who is also a former professional basketballer was alleged by his ex-girlfriend in a BBC documentary of sexually abusing a 14-year-old girl and “trained” her as his sexual “pet” from 2011 onward, also adding that she was “groomed” by the R&B singer during their two-year relationship and was forced to have sex with him and others many times in his “sex dungeon.” Kelly has not yet issued any comment on this most recent accusations for the past 4 months, but has denied previous sexual abuse and harassment allegations until yesterday when he released a 19-minutes long titled “I Admit” to deny all the sexual misconducts.
The R&B artiste in the song recounts his journey so far, admitting and apologizing for a few and all he has had to suffer because of the accusations which he described as someone’s “opinion” and the he shouldn’t be punished for that, and that his career with has helped and inspired a lot of people shouldn’t end because of an “assumption”.
He also thanked his fans for all the support despite Spotify removing him from their playlist and losing a lot of deals. The song has received several criticisms from the media since its release about 24hrs ago.
