Yewande Oyediran, the daughter of Venerable Oyetunde Oyediran, allegedly received a state pardon, barely 2 years into serving her 7 year jail sentence for killing her husband.
The convict had stabbed her husband, Lowo Oyediran, in the neck on February 2, 2016 at their 30, Adeniyi Layout, Abidi-odan, Akobo, Ibadan home, following a misunderstanding. She was arraigned on a one- count charge of killing her man with a knife, found guilty of the crime and sentenced to 7 years in prison in November 2017.
Giving an update on the lady’s imprisonment, @Dondekojo alleged that she got support for her release from her father and family. It was also claimed that the former Governor of Oyo State, Abiola Ajimobi granted her clemency.
This is another strong reason one needs to marry within your income.
See Twitter Reactions Below:
Someone killed her husband, used connection to almost beat the charge (got only 7 years) and then used connection to get the outgoing Governor to grant clemency before leaving office. Now she's free. Stay safe Kings. True life story

Haha! And there's more

Another argument for folks to marry within income bracket. Her fam is well connected. She's out of the country sef

You didn't even address the issue of clemency and leaving Prison before her time. Will be waiting for more on that seeing as…. https://t.co/zyAQcrzAgy

Omg… I'm quite familiar with this story. Learnt her late husband had a child in France and she requested he brings him home so that she can kill the child. Her father is a highly respected and connected clergyman in Ibadan. Now she evaded a truly deserved justice. Sad!

After how many years in prison, now kindly go and quote or reply your initial reply to me that you either lied or made a mistake… Or just delete. Thank you
— Ayobami (@dondekojo) July 21, 2019
My initial reply is not claiming she finished her term. I know she did not finish her term. I just opined that she was almost done anyway. Now you are avoiding the talk of he releasing other people who were convicted of more heinous crimes cos it doesn’t flow with your narrative
