Brown Skin Girl: Beyoncé & Wizkid Win Soul Train Award 2019

Wizkid has won his first Soul Train Award for his effort on Beyoncé’s song ‘Brown Skin Girl’. The Nigerian pop superstar was featured on the song together Saint Jhn and Blue Ivy.

‘Brown Skin Girl’ was subsequently nominated for ‘The Ashford & Simpson Songwriter’s Award’ at the 2019 Soul Train Awards. The song was later voted as the winner in that category. Previously Wizkid was nominated in 2017 in the ‘Best Dance’ category for his song ‘Come Closer’ with Drake.
